The first is an editorial illustration (WIP) for Senior Thesis. The illustration is supposed to accompany an article about niche churches ("Sunday Best" is the working title). The other two pieces are environments for a theatrical interpretation of Hans Christien Andersen's The Snow Queen, set in Fells Point, Baltimore.
This is the finished product of my experiment to test my thesis idea. I believe I'll be able to continue this process to create seven editorial illustrations in this semester.
Also, to those many, wonderful people who came to see the work from the Sorrento trip, thank y'all so much! I had a really great time greeting people and hanging out with brand new old friends from the trip.
I'm an Illustration Major at the Maryland Institute College of Art. I live and study in Baltimore, but I've also studied in North Carolina and Japan (during high school) and Sorrento, Italy (during college). During the Winter and Summer, I return to Carrboro, North Carolina to visit my two favorite parents.
